Maaria Rantala is a European Patent Attorney at Papula-Nevinpat.

Maaria has special expertise in inverse problems, X-ray imaging, medical engineering, digital signal processing, and acoustics. She has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, as well as counseling clients on patent-related issues.

Maaria has been working in the patent field since 2020, when she was hired by a Finnish intellectual property agency. Prior to that, she had a long career as a research and development scientist in the industry.

She holds a Master of Science (Tech.) degree in engineering physics, with a major in applied mathematics.
