Miika Tupala is a European Patent Attorney and Partner at Papula-Nevinpat, where he leads the Mechanical Engineering team and manages the Tampere office. In addition to these responsibilities, he has recently taken on the role of Process and Delivery Lead, driving the strategic development and continuous improvement of processes and service delivery to ensure operational excellence across the firm’s patent attorney operations.

Miika joined Papula-Nevinpat in 2019, bringing with him many years of experience as a research engineer and intellectual property specialist in the telecommunications industry. He has extensive expertise in identifying and evaluating inventions, drafting and prosecuting patent applications globally, providing strategic advice on intellectual property rights, and managing infringement cases and licensing negotiations. Additionally, he lectures on various topics related to intellectual property.
