Responsibility at Papula-Nevinpat

At Papula-Nevinpat, responsibility is a fixed part of all our operations. We follow ethical principles, legislation and a working method based on professionalism. Our responsibility work is based on the ESG framework (environmental, social and governance) and our company values: customer success, excellence, trust and collaboration.

Responsible business operations

We operate in a transparent, responsible and professional manner at all levels of business.

  • We develop industry practices by being active members of IP associations, such as SPAY, AIPPI, ECTA, INTA, FICPI and EastCham.
  • Our experts volunteer, train new IP experts and share their knowledge, for example, through our trainee program.
  • We offer free IP guidance for startups and private persons.
  • We have an anonym whistleblowing channel that can be used to report unethical operations.
  • We also require our collaboration partners and subcontractors to operate in an ethical way.
  • We monitor the impact of our responsibility work and set measurable goals.

Environmental responsibility

The carbon footprint of our office is moderate, but it is important for us to reduce our environmental impact. We continuously develop our operations into a more sustainable direction:

  • Our head office in Helsinki is fully digitized.
  • We separate our waste, choose recyclable materials and use responsible office supplies.
  • We offer our employees a commuter benefit for public transport and have a comprehensive remote work policy, which reduces traffic emissions.
  • We consider the environment as we select our suppliers and expect them to have responsible practices.

Social responsibility

Our personnel is our most important resource. We believe that a healthy and diverse work community creates the foundation for success.

  • We offer continuous training and possibilities to develop one’s competence.
  • Our trainee program trains new experts and provides students with work experience. In addition, we hire summer employees every year.
  • We contribute to our employees’ work-life balance by offering an additional day off, among other things.
  • We are committed to equality and diversity. Our employees consist of experts from various nationalities, age groups and backgrounds.
  • We encourage everyone to apply for a job with us – regardless of age, gender, ethnic background, sexual orientation, disability or any other characteristic.

Social involvement

We participate in social development by supporting know-how, entrepreneurship and charity.

  • We carry out pro bono work with associations, such as The Association of Friends of the University Children’s Hospitals and The Peace Machine association, as well as startups.
  • In 2024, we started collaborating with trademark charity association Brand Action, which helps people living in emergency zones.
  • Every year, we support charities in Finland by donating to operators, such as the Tapiola general upper secondary school’s scholarship fund, the Good Holiday Spirit collection, Hope ry, Sylva ry and various youth sports clubs.
