Markku Simmelvuo is the Managing Director and a Senior Partner at Papula-Nevinpat. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Papula Oy and a European Patent Attorney.

Markku is an active contributor to Finnish as well as international IP organizations, working to develop and promote Finnish patent expertise and the broader IP field. He maintains his international contacts by annually taking part in various international conferences (such as AIPPI, INTA, APAA). Further, Markku has extensive experience in the procedures of the Russian and Eurasian Patent Offices.

Markku started his intellectual property career in 1994 when he was hired as a patent specialist at Papula-Nevinpat. In 2002, he became the Managing Director of our company.
